Agona West parliamentary election: I’m nonetheless working as Independent Candidate – Cynthia Morrison
The incumbent Member of Parliament for Agona West, Cynthia Morrison has denied media experiences that she has rescinded her resolution to contest the parliamentary election as an Independent Candidate.
According to her, she is resolute in her resolution.
“I am still running as Independent Candidate in the parliamentary election for Agona West Constituency,” she mentioned on TV3 on October 22.
Madam Cynthia Morrison is amongst 4 Members of Parliament, three of who’re New Patriotic Party (NPP) members, whose seats have been declared vacant by Speaker Alban Bagbin. The Speaker’s declaration follows the choice by the affected MPs to contest the December 7 election as Independent Candidates, opposite to the provisions of Article 97 (g)(h).
