Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated his dedication to eradicating taxes on cellphones to make them extra reasonably priced for Ghanaians.

Speaking to a big crowd in Koforidua throughout his marketing campaign tour of the Eastern Region, Dr Bawumia emphasised the essential position cellphones play in driving a digitised economic system.

“One of the things I want to do as President, by the grace of God, is to remove taxes on mobile phones,” he stated.

“We will remove the taxes so that the cost of mobile phones in Ghana will be cheaper.”
