Christmas: Anambra girls fete indigent widows

Women below the auspices of Otu Odu- Eze (Wives of Enugwu-Ukwu Cabinet Chiefs), Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra state, have donated meals gadgets value N5 million to indigent widows for Christmas and New Year festivities.

The meals gadgets which included baggage of rice, beans, elements, money items, amongst others have been handed right down to the widows on the group’s annual assembly held at Enugwu-Ukwu.

Speaking on the event, the group’s President, Chief Dora Ekpeh, who can be the spouse of Enugwu-Ukwu monarch, Igwe Ralph Ekpeh, mentioned the palliatives have been a part of their assist in constructing a wholesome and residing neighborhood members.

According to Ekpeh, the ladies group had supported over 3,000 indigent widows of the neighborhood within the complete of their fifth 12 months of the train with a view to constructing a greater society.

Also talking, the Deputy President of the group, Chief Edith Anaekwe, added that they use the discussion board in supporting their husbands and conventional custodian in growth of the neighborhood by constructing households economically and in any other case.
