The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in partnership with the Red Cross Society, Federal Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has donated aid supplies value $200,000 to 1,000 households who suffered flooding final yr.

The director of ECOWAS Mission in Nigeria, Mrs. Sintiki Tarfa-Ugbe, mentioned that the state authorities recognized the beneficiaries nearer to the individuals and victims.
Each of the 1,000 affected households went house with 25kg of rice, 15 kg of beans, 15kg of garri, 5 litres of vegetable oil, 5 litres of palm oil, and N75,000 money switch.
Also, beneficiaries got important non-food objects, which embody; a mosquito-treated internet, blanket, bucket, mat and jerrycan.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Aminu Hammayo famous that the state authorities had additionally offered extra help to 150 households to handle the rising wants of flood victims.
