Essa Faal slams Barrow of governing for the elite
Gambian lawyer and chief APP-SOBEYA Essa Faal has accused President Adama Barrow of working the nation in a approach that favours the elite, saying the system is skewed towards strange residents.
Faal, who plans to run for president in 2026, has been a constant critic of Barrow’s management since his personal defeat within the 2021 presidential election, a consequence he continues to query regardless of conceding on the time.
Speaking on Coffee Time, Faal mentioned: “this is why I say we should rebuild The Gambia. A Gambia built on morality and fairness. We need a just society. But what we have is a skewed system, one that favours those at the top. This is a recurring problem.”
He accused the Barrow administration of restructuring authorities methods to serve their pursuits whereas neglecting the wants of Gambians.
“They’ve restructured the entire system to benefit themselves, ignoring the hard-working Gambians who pay taxes. Parliament uses these funds as they see fit, with little regard for the people. It’s sad, unjust, and we must change the system,” he mentioned.
