FIFA Arab Cup 2025 Ticket Sales Surpass 430,000, Poised to Break Attendance Records

DOHA, Qatar – The upcoming FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 is generating unprecedented fan interest, with organizers announcing that more than 430,000 tickets have already been sold, putting the tournament on track to shatter previous attendance records.

Record-Breaking Demand Signals Regional Football Passion

The remarkable ticket sales figure was revealed by Ali Mahmoud, Executive Director of Planning and Implementation for the Organizing Committee, during a press conference in Algiers. With the tournament scheduled from December 1 to 18, 2025, the current sales trajectory suggests the event could become one of the most attended regional football competitions in history.

“Tickets were launched at the end of last September, and so far over 430,000 tickets have been sold,” Mahmoud stated. “The process is still ongoing, and we expect to break the record compared to the previous edition.”

Enhanced Fan Experience Initiatives

Organizers have implemented several innovative measures to ensure broad accessibility and an exceptional fan experience. A newly created “Support Your Team” card allows supporters of Arab national teams to purchase special packages for the first round or subsequent rounds if their team advances.

The system includes dedicated packages for people with special needs, reflecting Qatar’s commitment to inclusive sporting events following its successful hosting of the 2022 World Cup.

Leveraging World Cup Infrastructure

Six stadiums that previously hosted 2022 World Cup matches will serve as venues for the Arab Cup, ensuring world-class facilities for players and spectators alike. The established transportation infrastructure, including the metro network and dedicated bus services, promises smooth access to all matches.

For international visitors, significant facilities are available through the “Hayya” platform for visa applications, streamlining the entry process for Arab fans traveling to Qatari territory.

Beyond the Pitch: A Regional Celebration

The tournament extends beyond football matches, with organizers planning a “sports carnival” featuring multiple parallel events. This approach aims to create an exceptional experience for attendees both inside and outside the stadiums, building on Qatar’s expertise in hosting major international sporting events.

The promotional tour has already visited ten Arab countries, including Algeria, where media inquiries have focused heavily on travel arrangements and match attendance procedures. The substantial interest is further evidenced by over 3,000 media accreditation requests from various Arab countries, which the Organizing Committee is currently reviewing.

Defending Champions and Tournament Structure

Algeria, as defending champions after their 2-0 extra-time victory over Tunisia in the previous edition, has qualified directly for the tournament. The Fennec Foxs will compete in Group Four alongside Iraq, with additional spots to be determined through playoff matches between Bahrain and Djibouti, and Lebanon and Sudan on November 26.

The tournament structure will see the top two teams from each group advance to knockout rounds, culminating in quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final match.
