Gambia to host anti-doping seminar in Banjul
Musa Mbye, the deputy everlasting secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports expresses the Gambia Government’s dedication to the forthcoming inter-regional ministerial assembly on anti-doping to be held on the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre at Bijilo slated on the 21 January.
“As a signatory to the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport, The Gambia takes the issue of doping in sports very seriously,” mentioned Mbye, including “hosting this meeting will not only showcase the country’s dedication to a fair and clean sporting environment but also provide an opportunity for international collaboration and the exchange of ideas on how to combat doping in sports.”
Musa Mbye, chairman of the Organising Committee in Banjul is hopeful of The Gambia‘s skill to efficiently organise an inter-regional ministerial assembly on anti-doping underscoring the importance of the occasion.
“We have been working tirelessly to organize for this essential occasion, and our workforce is devoted to making sure a clean and productive assembly.
“We have full confidence in our ability to host this meeting and showcase The Gambia as a capable and competent country in the global fight against doping in sports.”
Ministers, authorities officers, and representatives of anti-doping officers will converge in Banjul for a day lengthy convention to debate means to deal with and curb doping in sports activities.
