Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, Minister of Information and chief of the Citizens’ Alliance, has dismissed claims by Essa Faal, chief of the Sobeya Movement, stating that Faal affords no different insurance policies to the present initiatives of President Adama Barrow’s authorities.

Essa Faal just lately accused the NPP-led administration of mismanaging public funds, leaving abnormal Gambians in dire poverty. He additionally criticized the federal government for its “misplaced priorities,” citing the acquisition of 89 SUV automobiles for delegates attending the two-day fifteenth OIC Summit in Banjul.

In response, Dr. Ceesay countered these criticisms throughout an look on QTV on Monday.
“Well, I am not surprised. One thing that certain in Gambian politics is that the so-called opposition does not have an alternative to what is existing now. The President has embarked on what we call explosive development, total development in every sector. Every public policy as we speak today tends to be moving in the right direction. When the opposition has nothing to come after the government policy-wise, all they do is to engage in politics saying things that doesn’t make sense, but Gambians are aware. Gambians are not sleeping. I don’t know what he (Essa Faal) is talking about. For me, he has no policy alternative to what is existing, so obviously he will embark on such petty politics,” Dr. Ceesay mentioned.

Dr. Ismaila Ceesay is the Minister of Information within the Gambia and the Party Leader of Citizen’s Alliance.
