Liberia: Majority Bloc of the House of Representatives Condemns Vandalism, Reaffirm Dedication to Legislative Duties
Monrovia—Majority Members of the House of Representatives of the fifty fifth Legislature have condemned an act of vandalism that occurred within the Joint Chambers, which concerned deliberate injury to property and damaged chairs. They described the incident as a blatant try and disrupt the House’s functioning.

In an announcement launched Monday, the Majority Members characterised the assault as an ‘undemocratic and unacceptable effort’ to forestall the bulk from fulfilling their duties to the Liberian individuals.
They expressed their unwavering dedication to the rule of regulation and democratic ideas, asserting their resolve to proceed legislative proceedings regardless of these disruptive ways.
“These unlawful actions only strengthen our commitment to upholding the mandate given to us by the Liberian people and restoring trust, honor, and decency to the Honorable House,” the assertion learn.
The Majority Bloc members referred to as on all leaders and residents to denounce actions that undermine Liberia’s democracy.
The assertion additional emphasised that this act of intimidation wouldn’t deter them from representing the pursuits of their constituents or addressing vital points dealing with the nation in a clear and accountable method.
The Majority Members criticized the Speaker and a gaggle of what they described as “desperate collaborators,” accusing them of gross misconduct that has eroded the belief and confidence of the Liberian individuals.

The launch signed by the Samual G. Kogar, Representative of Electoral District #5, Nimba County and Chairman of the Majority Bloc assured the Liberian public that the work of the House of Representatives would proceed responsibly and decisively.
