Liberia: VP Koung, Gov’t Officers Mourn Sen. Johnson’s Dying
Paynesville – Following the sudden information of the loss of life of Nimba County Senator Prince Y. Johnson early Thursday morning on the Hope for Women Hospital on AB Tolbert Road in Paynesville, quite a few authorities officers, together with Vice President Jeremiah Kpang Koung, visited the late senator’s Duport Road residence to sympathize together with his bereaved household.

Vice President Koung, accompanied by senior authorities officers and distinguished figures from Nimba County, arrived on the late Senator’s residence visibly emotional as they mourned the lack of Senator Johnson, whom many known as the “political father of Nimba County.”
Eyewitnesses on the late senator’s residence recounted his last hours. Neighbors advised FPA Senator Johnson had returned to Monrovia on Wednesday, November 27, after attending the dedication of an annex of the PYJ Polytechnic in Nimba the day before today.
“Just yesterday evening, we saw the senator sitting upstairs on the front porch of his house, where he often relaxed,” mentioned Henry George, a neighbor. “But later that night, he went to bed, fell into a coma, and was rushed to the Hope for Women Hospital, where he passed away.”
The information of Senator Johnson’s loss of life has left a big void within the Nimba political panorama, with many reflecting on his longstanding affect and contributions to the county and Liberia as a complete.
