The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly has formally introduced that the Fourth Ordinary Session of the National Assembly will happen from November 15 to December 23, 2024.

In a public discover, the Office of the Clerk acknowledged:  “The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly wishes to announce for the information of the general public that the Fourth Ordinary Session (Budget Session) of the National Assembly in the 2024 Legislative Year shall be convened for the period Friday 15th November – Monday 23rd December 2024.” 

During this session, Members of the National Assembly will deliberate on the Government of The Gambia’s Draft Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for the 2025 fiscal 12 months. Other issues on the agenda embody Questions to Honourable Ministers for Oral Responses, Reports from numerous Parliamentary Committees and delegations, in addition to motions and payments.

The Clerk’s workplace additionally introduced that the every day sittings will start promptly at 10:00 am. Those wishing to attend are required to acquire admittance playing cards from the Office of the Clerk on the entrance gate. The public is reminded to stick to the usual gown code (conventional apparel) and to look at the silence rule throughout the session proceedings.
