‘Not Overthinking’ – Ghana coach calm forward of Nigeria CHAN qualification 2nd-leg conflict in Uyo
The coach of the Ghana Black Galaxies has set his sights on securing a spot within the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) by overcoming Nigeria within the second leg of their qualifier.
In the primary leg, the Ghanaian workforce held the Home-Based Eagles to a goalless draw, maintaining their hopes alive for the return fixture in Nigeria.
The coach expressed satisfaction with the chance to showcase the Ghana Premier League on a global stage.
“Even if we don’t qualify, there is still something positive to take away. These boys have gained exposure to a higher level of football, which highlights the strength of our domestic league. This is the image we want to project – showcasing our league to Africa and the world,” he mentioned.
He emphasised the workforce’s focus forward of the essential match in Nigeria, saying, “We’re not overthinking the outcome. Our priority is to prepare well, travel to Nigeria, step onto the pitch, and give it our best.”
