Nyancho receives hero’s welcome in Banjul after European tour
Gambian Afro fusion sensation Nyancho returned dwelling to a jubilant reception on Thursday, following a triumphant month-long tour throughout Europe.
The Bakau-born artist, celebrated for his electrifying performances and soulful vocals, was greeted by a throng of followers at Banjul International Airport. Drumming and dancing crammed the air as supporters showcased their enthusiasm for Nyancho’s worldwide success.
Upon disembarking, Nyancho joined the festive crowd, expressing his heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering help he acquired all through his journey. In an interview with reporters, he emphasised the significance of peace and unity, urging fellow artists to convey constructive messages by means of their music.
“This tour has been a transformative experience and a significant step forward in my career,” Nyancho mentioned.
“While in The Gambia, it’s easy to think that the world outside is unaware of us, but that’s not the case.”
He urged artists to be conscious of the messages they share, reminding them that their music reaches a world viewers. “If your songs don’t educate or entertain, it’s time to reflect and improve,” he suggested.
