Police arrest absconding gang member over a number of theft instances on the town
Police have arrested a person who went into hiding after his gang was linked with a collection of robberies within the Greater Banjul space.
The suspect was apprehended following a joint intel investigation by officers from Latriya, Sukuta, and Old Yundum police stations.
“A C-Class Mercedes Benz, reported stolen on the Old Yundum Police Station on December 27, 2024, was recovered from the suspect’s second residence in Dalaba Estate. Other gadgets, together with a jacket, daggers, and a smartphone, have been additionally seized.
“The suspect has revealed the identity of an accomplice, Ebou, who remains at large. Efforts to locate and apprehend the accomplice are ongoing. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses,” police stated.
