Police examine assault on convoy of NDC’s working mate within the Eastern Region
The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigation into an incident involving the convoy of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the working mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Friday, November 29, 2024.
According to a police assertion launched on Saturday, November 30, preliminary report signifies that the incident occurred between Akuse and Kpong, alongside the Akosombo-Accra Highway within the Eastern Region, when a dispatch rider from the other way allegedly threw an object on the windscreen of a automobile within the working mate’s convoy, inflicting harm to the windscreen.
“We would like to assure the public that the matter will be thoroughly investigated as we are committed to ensuring the safety of all persons before, during and after the 2024 General Elections,” the police mentioned.
