Referee Selorm Bless, 23 others obtain FIFA’s worldwide sport approval for 2025
The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) has launched the official checklist of Ghanaian referees eligible to officiate worldwide matches throughout the 2025 soccer calendar 12 months.
The checklist contains 10 heart referees, notably 35-year-old Selorm Yao Bless, who has been a constant determine in Ghanaian soccer lately.
Additionally, it options 10 assistant referees, one futsal referee, one seaside soccer referee, and one Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
According to FIFA laws, every Member Association (MA) should suggest new referees or renew the appointments of current ones on the FIFA checklist yearly.
The Referees Committee of the Ghana Football Association nominates these referees and submits the checklist to FIFA for last approval. However, FIFA reserves the fitting to reject any nominee who doesn’t meet its requirements.
Approved referees are awarded FIFA badges, that are legitimate for the calendar 12 months, from January to December.
The chosen referees now bear the accountability of upholding the integrity of the sport whereas showcasing the standard of Ghanaian officiating on the worldwide stage.
Their future re-nominations rely on their efficiency and adherence to FIFA’s excessive requirements.
