Renowned Gambian artist and award-winning singer Sona Jobarteh has pledged her dedication to elevating Destination Gambia to the worldwide stage.
Famed for her distinctive singing and mastery of the Kora, Sona made this assurance throughout a current assembly with Abdoulie Jobe, the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, held on the Ministry’s convention room in Banjul.
“The Gambia’s tourism industry offers a wealth of products that deserve global recognition,” Sona mentioned, emphasising her dedication to showcasing these treasures by means of her music.
She described The Gambia as a rustic blessed with gorgeous wildlife, which she believes are very important belongings for the tourism sector.
Sona expressed optimism in regards to the new partnership between herself and officers of The Gambia’s tourism trade, envisioning its progress as a catalyst for the mutual improvement of the sector.
In response, Tourism Minister Abdoulie Jobe lauded Sona Jobarteh’s unwavering love for The Gambia, describing her efforts as a real act of patriotism.
