State Govt Buries Victims Of Stampede
Weeks after the ugly incident, victims of the Anambra State stampede that occurred throughout Christmas rice distribution in Okija, Ihiala Local Government Area of the state have been buried.
The authorities held an inter-denominational burial service for the victims at St. Mary’s Field, Okija, had households of the victims, survivors, neighborhood members, and different notable personalities of the neighborhood in attendance on the low-key occasion.
Recalled that no fewer than 21 individuals, reportedly misplaced their lives through the tragic incident that occurred on December 21, 2024, through the palliative distribution donated by Chief Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi, by means of his basis, Obijackson Foundation.

At the service, the Very Rev. Donald Chukwudolue requested the Almighty God to console everyone who misplaced their family members and prayed that such wouldn’t happen once more locally.
