Stonebwoy dropped from NDC victory live performance following grassroots issues
Renowned Reggae/Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has been dropped from the lineup of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Victory Concert scheduled for Sunday, January 5, 2025.
This choice follows sturdy opposition from the social gathering’s grassroots and youth supporters.
On Friday, January 3, 2025, Stonebwoy was introduced as a performing artiste for the occasion. However, shortly after the announcement, the hashtag #DropStonebwoy started trending on social media, with some social gathering members expressing their displeasure over his inclusion.
In response to the mounting stress, the live performance organisers issued a press release confirming the elimination of the TGMA reigning Artiste of the Year from the occasion.
They cited grassroots issues as the first purpose for his or her choice, apologising to each Stonebwoy and his crew for the result.
The NDC Victory Concert is about to happen on the forecourt of the Legon Stadium to have a good time the social gathering’s historic win within the just-ended basic elections.
