A taxi driver was reportedly pressured out of his car at gunpoint by armed bandits early Sunday morning.

According to an audio recording shared with Gambiana, the driving force had taken a passenger to the airport and was returning when the assault occurred.

“While coming back, he was ambushed by armed bandits and forced to exit his car at gunpoint. Although he was unharmed, his car was stolen,” a person within the audio said.

“We are appealing to the public for any information regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle.”

Police couldn’t be reached for remark on the time of publication.
