The toy weapons problem is harmful – Ras Kuuku

Ghanaian musician, Ras Kuuku, popularly often called the Ghetto Youth President has described the continuing social media toy weapons problem in Kumasi as childish and harmful.

He acknowledged in an interview on the 3FM Drive Time present on Tuesday twenty sixth November, 2024 that brandishing toy weapons might be a recipe for catastrophe as a result of sure unscrupulous people could take undue benefit of it to rob and maim folks.

“You see that gun challenge going on? I want to let the people know they shouldn’t play with the thing, and nobody should support that. Anything that involves guns must be looked at with great caution. That is why our forefathers said the inside of a gun is dark,” Ras Kuuku pressured.

Meanwhile the Ghana Police Service in a press assertion has disclosed that some 26 people have been arrested in reference to toy-guns associated crimes and for brandishing and recklessly firing toy weapons in public locations thereby inflicting insecurity.

The police assertion additional assured the general public of their unrelenting efforts to keep up peace and safety within the nation.

“We would once again like to assure the public that the police will do all that it takes for our beloved country to continue to be at peace with herself” the police assured.

The suspects are helping the police with investigations and awaiting prosecution within the courtroom of regulation.
