Traffic Accidents Claim the Lives of 45 People in One Week

During the period from November 2 to 8 of this year, 45 people lost their lives and 1558 others sustained various injuries in 1305 traffic accidents across several states.

The General Directorate of Civil Protection reported today that the highest number of casualties occurred in M’sila, where 5 individuals tragically lost their lives. Additionally, 63 people were injured in 44 separate traffic incidents.

Furthermore, Civil Protection units responded to 1087 incidents, successfully extinguishing 744 fires, including those in residential and industrial areas. Notable fire outbreaks were reported in Algiers, Tizi Ouzou, and Blida.

Over the same period, Civil Protection teams conducted 5982 rescue operations, saving 469 individuals in life-threatening situations and performing 5181 ambulance services.
