Unveiling Our Logo

We are happy to unveil the official emblem of the Edward Francis Small Centre for Rights and Justice (EFSCRJ).

Our emblem bears the title of Edward Francis Small in whose honour the group is known as. We are impressed by the nice work and legacy of EF Small which we want to proceed. Small was a human rights activist, a journalist, a commerce unionist and a pro-democracy advocate who defended the civil liberties of our individuals. He stood up towards the colonial system and demanded that Gambians have the proper to be represented in determination making establishments. His slogan ‘No taxation without representation’ is as immutable and related at present as when it was stated in 1920.

Our motto is ‘Freedom, Equality, Transparency and Accountability’.

We imagine that as a Republic, The Gambia belongs to all her individuals in whom sovereign energy resides and, in whose title, energy is exercised by all of the three arms of Government. The individuals have civil, political, financial, social and cultural rights assured by the 1997 Constitution and different ratified regional and worldwide authorized devices.
