Egypt Reaffirms Support for Lebanon’s Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity
CAIRO, Nov 8 (MENA) – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty affirmed Egypt’s firm stance in support of Lebanon’s sovereignty during a phone call on Saturday with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
The minister stressed Egypt’s complete rejection of any infringement on Lebanon’s territorial integrity and national unity. Their discussion focused on the latest developments in southern Lebanon and the ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
Minister Abdelatty emphasized that prioritizing calm and dialogue is essential for preserving the security and stability of both Lebanon and the wider region.
He reiterated Egypt’s unwavering position in backing Lebanon’s sovereignty, national unity, and independence in decision-making. Furthermore, he expressed Egypt’s support for Lebanon’s national institutions as they work to exercise their full responsibilities in maintaining stability, ensuring security, and confronting current challenges to safeguard the interests of the Lebanese people.
