Boakai declares new Commerce Minister
Press Release: Tuesday, November 5, 2024: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has a brand new minister. She is Magdalene Dagoseh, spouse of fallen Liberian monetary professional and Grand Cape Mounty County Former Senator Edward B. Dagoseh.
Madam Dagoseh, a staunch member of the governing Unity Party, was appointed by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Prior to her nomination, Madam Dagoseh served as Assistant Minister for Administration on the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP) throughout former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf’s administration.
The appointment by the Liberian Chief Executive is topic to affirmation by the Liberian Senate.
If confirmed, she is going to succeed Madam Scholastica Tanneh Nyenkan-Nimley, who President Joseph Nyuma Boakai named to behave as Minister following the resignation of then Commerce and Industry Minister Amin Modad on October 9, 2024.
