Arik Air has confirmed its participation as one of the headline exhibitors at the inaugural Nigeria International Airshow, slated to hold from 2–4 December 2025 in Abuja.
The much-anticipated event, introduced by the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, is poised to redefine the continent’s aviation landscape by promoting innovation, investment, and regional collaboration.
The airshow, the first of its kind in Nigeria, will bring together a diverse assembly of key aviation stakeholders, including commercial and business airlines, aircraft manufacturers, defence and aerospace organisations, regulators from across the region, government institutions, and influential private-sector investors.
Designed as a strategic platform to showcase advancements in aviation technology and policy, the event aims to position Nigeria as a major aviation hub in Africa.
Arik Air’s presence at the exhibition is regarded as a crucial step in reinforcing its standing within the industry. The airline plans to leverage the airshow to highlight its brand transformation, demonstrate its operational capacities, and reconnect with both local and international partners.
The event will also enable the carrier to engage policymakers, high-level industry influencers, and technical collaborators across the global aviation ecosystem.
Chief Executive Officer of Arik Air, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, expressed confidence in the impact of the maiden edition, describing it as a timely boost for the country’s aviation sector.
“Arik Air’s participation in the airshow aligns with our mission to become a dominant air-services brand, globally admired for world-class operating, safety, and service delivery standards, while continuing to promote Nigeria’s image at home and abroad,” he remarked.
He further reiterated the airline’s commitment to national growth and sectoral development. “We are proud to associate with and support the efforts of the Federal Government in building a solid foundation for the growth of Nigeria’s aviation industry,” Ilegbodu added.
Observers note that the airshow comes at a transformative period for Nigerian aviation, with ongoing investments in airport modernisation, expansion of bilateral air service agreements, and increased interest from global OEMs.
Arik Air’s participation is expected to enhance its engagement with decision-makers, explore new partnership opportunities, and reaffirm its long-standing role as a leading player in the sector.
With preparations in top gear, Arik Air says it looks forward to contributing to the success and global visibility of the first Nigeria International Airshow, while strengthening its role in shaping aviation development across Nigeria and the rest of the African continent.
