FCT, Abuja – The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced a significant shift in its recruitment process, revealing that all shortlisted candidates will now take their examinations online.

The Board issued an urgent warning that its recruitment portal will close on Friday, November 7, 2025, advising applicants who haven’t confirmed their status to do so immediately.
The announcement came in a statement released on Tuesday, November 4, and signed by the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. A. M. Jibril (Rtd).
“The recruitment portal will officially close on Friday, 7th November 2025. All shortlisted applicants are expected to take note of the timelines and comply accordingly,” Jibril stated.
One-Week Examination Window
According to the Board’s statement, the online examination will span one week, running from Wednesday, November 12, through Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
“Shortlisted applicants will take part in an online test, commencing Wednesday, 12th November 2025 and concluding on Wednesday, 19th November 2025,” the Board explained.
Applicants have been directed to visit recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng to verify their shortlisting status and access their examination schedule.
No Physical Test Centers
In a departure from previous recruitment exercises, the Board confirmed there will be no physical Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers for this phase.
“The test will be conducted exclusively online. Accordingly, all previously allocated CBT centres are discontinued,” the statement clarified.
Candidates who initially selected physical test centers must now return to the portal to reschedule their examination date and time online. The test link will be released on Tuesday, November 11, one day before the exams begin.

The Board emphasized the importance of technical preparedness, advising candidates to ensure they have appropriate devices and reliable internet connectivity to avoid disqualification.
“Applicants must have a stable internet connection and the necessary devices to take the online test. Follow all instructions on the examination slip carefully,” the statement advised.

Jibril reaffirmed the Board’s dedication to maintaining a fair and transparent recruitment process throughout the online examination phase.
