Defence Minister Matawalle to Visit Zamfara State on Thursday
APC Calls for Peaceful Conduct During Minister’s Visit
Defence Minister of State Bello Mohammed Matawalle is scheduled to visit Zamfara State on Thursday, with the All Progressive Congress (APC) urging supporters to maintain law and order throughout the event.
The announcement came through a statement issued by the party’s state chairman, communicated by Publicity Secretary Mallam Yusuf Idris.
Under the leadership of Honourable Tukur Umar Danfulani, the party has called on all members, supporters, and well-wishers to gather in large numbers to welcome the minister at the Kotorkoshi area of Bungudu Local Government.
Three-Day Itinerary
Upon arrival, the minister will meet with party members at his Gusau residence, joined by former governors, deputy governors, and other prominent leaders.
The following day, Friday, party leaders will convene a stakeholders meeting at the state APC secretariat. The visit will conclude on Saturday, November 15, 2025, when Matawalle proceeds to his hometown of Maradun for additional meetings with party and family members.
The statement emphasized: “While we seek the full cooperation of security agencies for a smooth outing, we strongly implore our members and supporters to, as usual, be law-abiding and of good conduct throughout the outlined programme and beyond.”
