Dosso Residents Rally in Force to Welcome President Tiani
The city of Dosso came alive on Sunday, November 9, 2025, as crowds gathered for a major rally led by His Excellency General Abdourahamane Tiani, President of the Republic. From early morning, an enthusiastic multitude converged on the official platform, showcasing the legendary mobilization of the local population.
Along the route from the presidential residence to the platform, the presidential procession received warm cheers from a diverse sea of supporters—men, women, youth, and schoolchildren who had traveled from across the commune to greet their leader.
Broad Representation at Ceremony
Traditional chiefs, guardians of local customs and values, joined administrative authorities, members of the Consultative Council for Refoundation, Defense and Security Forces, and representatives from all socio-professional sectors of the region.
Speaking for the people of Dosso, Urban Commune Delegate Administrator Mr. Ibrahim Moussa Kour expressed the city’s pride in hosting the Head of State. He emphasized that Dosso, with its 541 km² area and population exceeding 133,000, remains a crossroads for meeting, dialogue, and fraternity among all Nigeriens.
The administrator described the President’s visit as a strong demonstration of his commitment to the people, assuring that the city would remain faithful to the ideals of the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland (CNSP) and the vision of the Head of State.
“We are convinced that under your leadership and foresight, nothing bad can happen to us. Only happiness, Your Excellency. Let us just be resilient, for sovereignty has a price,” he stated before welcoming the President and his delegation to “the hospitable and legendary city of the Djermakoyes.”
Residents Respond to Presidential Visit
Mr. Abdou Issaka, president of the kabou kabou, shared his enthusiasm: “I am very happy today to come see and listen to my President. The mobilization is exceptional. I want to thank the entire population of Dosso for coming out.”
Oumou Abdou Aouta expressed being deeply moved: “This turnout shows the population’s attachment and love for the President. The history he shared, many natives of Dosso didn’t know it. He helped us understand who we are and better know our country to better defend it.”
Abdoulkadri Ali, a CNSP support group member, praised the President’s message: “He enlightened us that we are all the same, whether farmers or herders. We must remain united and in solidarity.”
This remarkable gathering reaffirmed the profound connection between the people of Dosso and their Republic, demonstrating a shared determination to build a sovereign, united, and prosperous Niger.
