Envoy Adut Urges Unity and Positive Representation for South Sudanese Youth in Kenya
NAIROBI, Kenya (Eye Radio) – The Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs, Hon. Adut Kiir, concluded a working visit to the South Sudanese Embassy in Nairobi by calling on the youth to champion unity and project a positive image while abroad.
According to a statement from her office, Adut encouraged South Sudanese youth in Kenya to engage in productive activities that foster empowerment during their stay.
She delivered this message during a consultative meeting with embassy staff, aiming to gain a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing South Sudanese citizens, with a special focus on students.
Addressing Key Challenges
During her visit on Wednesday, the Envoy was received by the Deputy Ambassador to Kenya, Amb. Barnaba Bol Nyuol, and other embassy officials.
She was briefed on a range of pressing issues, including the arrest of South Sudanese nationals, challenges with scholarships, pupil passes, and certificates of good conduct, as well as immigration difficulties encountered at the border and airport.
The envoy expressed her firm commitment to engage the relevant authorities to find effective solutions to these concerns.
