Lily Tshimpumpu Wabidiya has been named as the general secretary of the Congolese Football Association (FECOFA) by the Normalization Committee (CONOR) on Monday, November 10.
She takes over from Jean-Marie Mbuyi Kalonji, whose tenure ended in October, as confirmed by the committee without providing further details.
In a statement released to Radio Okapi on the same day, CONOR justified the selection of Lily Tshimpumpu based on her expertise and experience, which are deemed essential for effectively overseeing the governing body of Congolese football.
This appointment signifies a significant achievement in Lily Tshimpumpu’s involvement in national football, following her role as the president of the National Women’s Football Commission (CNFF) since 2015.
