At the ministry headquarters, the Minister of Mujahedeen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tachrifet, received Mohamed Djouadi, President of the National Association for Mine Victims.
The meeting was dedicated to examining ways to support the association’s efforts in accompanying mine victims and addressing their social and health concerns. As well as enhancing coordination between the services of the Ministry of Mujahedeen and the association in the areas of raising awareness about the dangers of mines and colonial remnants.
The meeting was also an opportunity to recall the sacrifices of the nation’s sons who fell victim to the remnants of the brutal French colonialism, which planted millions of mines along the Algerian border. Their tragic effects continue to this day.
In this context, the minister reiterated his sector’s commitment to accompanying this group. He affirmed that caring for mine victims is an integral part of honoring the nation’s memory and preserving the sacrifices of its sons. At the same time, he praised the national efforts being made in mine clearance and assisting those affected by them.
