Orange Côte d’Ivoire shares climbed 4.32% to 18,000 FCFA on Thursday, matching the telecom operator’s highest closing level since January 29, 2025.

The gain lifted the company’s market value to approximately 2.71 trillion FCFA and extended its advance since the start of 2026 to 26.32%.

The stock was among the five best performers of the session on the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM), the regional exchange serving West African states.

Orange CI’s move contributed to a broader rally that saw the BRVM Composite index rise 0.82% to 496.22 points, the BRVM-30 gain 1.00% to 236.58, and the BRVM Prestige add 1.04% to 182.23.

The share price strength follows a period of sustained operational growth across the company’s markets in Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Liberia. Orange CI reported 2025 revenue of 1.197 trillion FCFA, up 10.4% from the prior year.

Operating profit rose 9.1% to 287.2 billion FCFA, while consolidated net income increased 6.1% to 167.8 billion FCFA.

The momentum carried into the first quarter of 2026, with revenue reaching 325.6 billion FCFA, a 14.8% increase, and net income up 25.2% to 48.3 billion FCFA. Mobile services, fiber and Orange Money remain the core pillars of the business.

Shareholders have also benefited from income returns. A gross dividend of 800 FCFA per share for the 2025 financial year was paid on June 8, representing a total gross distribution of 120.52 billion FCFA.

After withholding tax, the payment amounted to 720 FCFA per share for companies and 704 FCFA for individuals. The company generated 335.5 billion FCFA in operating cash flow during 2025, against capital spending of 184.2 billion FCFA.

Orange CI joined the BRVM in December 2022 following the Ivorian state’s sale of 9.95% of the company through an initial public offering priced at 9,500 FCFA per share for most investors.

At 18,000 FCFA, the stock trades roughly 89% above that offer price before accounting for dividends.

The company’s public float stands at 9.45%, or about 14.24 million shares out of 150.66 million shares outstanding, making it one of the exchange’s largest listed companies at approximately 14% of BRVM equity capitalization.

Other notable movers in Thursday’s session included Safca and Sicor, which led gains with increases of 7.45%, and BIIC, which rose 4.69%. On the downside, SOGB fell 6.93%, LNB lost 5.77% and CFAO Motors Côte d’Ivoire dropped 5.60%.

SOGB led trading activity with about 1.17 billion FCFA exchanged, representing roughly one-third of equity turnover.
