An all-Beninese refereeing team will officiate the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round first leg between Durban City FC and Rukinzo FC.

Dedjinanchi Tanisla Ahomlanto, a Beninese international referee, will be the center referee for the match, scheduled for Sunday, September 6 at 3:00 p.m. local time (1:00 p.m. in Benin) at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

He will be assisted by Detondji Joe Cortel Dodometin and Lucien Todégnon Hontonnou, with Djindo Louis Houngnandande serving as fourth official.

The match marks a milestone for Durban City, which qualified for its first CAF interclub competition by winning the Nedbank Cup during the 2025-2026 season.

This fixture is the first leg of the first preliminary round. CAF has scheduled first-leg matches from September 4 to 6, with return legs from September 11 to 13.

Durban City will host Rukinzo before traveling to Burundi for the second leg.

The second preliminary round is scheduled for October 16-18 (first legs) and October 23-25 (return legs). This edition of the Confederation Cup features 56 clubs.
