Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences inducts new fellows  

The Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences has inducted new fellows with a name on them to share their data to realize the collective imaginative and prescient of the Academy.  

The inductees have been drawn from varied educational disciplines to take part in nationwide discourse for sustained improvement.  

They are Professor of Poultry Science, Mr Samuel Egyir Aggrey; Professor of Surgery, Dr Joe-Nat Afutu Clegg-Lamptey; Professor of Population Studies, Dr Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe; and Professor of Chemistry, Dr Godfred Darko.  

The relaxation are Professor of Pharmacology, Dr Emmanuel Bekoe Larbi; Professor of Animal Science, Mr Frederick Yeboah Obese; and Professor of Food Science and Technology, Dr Ibok Ekpenyong Nsa Oduro.  

Professor Kofi Opoku Nti, President of the Academy, charged the inductees to carry new concepts to the Academy to chart the trail to nationwide progress.  

“We expect you to participate fully in the affairs of the Academy. You need to volunteer time to the cause of the Academy and adhere to its core values,” he stated.  

Prof Nti careworn that the Academy strived once they volunteered to serve, urging them to exhibit their management expertise to carry the wanted outcomes.  

He urged them to be dedicated to nationwide points and take part in debates of nationwide curiosity in addressing challenges.  

The President urged the inductees to be cautious of the usage of social media area to keep away from misinformation or disinformation forward of the overall elections.

“You need to collaborate with others to work to solve problems that can transform the country’s development trajectory,” he stated.  

Prof.Oduro, on behalf of the inductees, thanked the management of the Academy for the honour and pledged to work collectively for the expansion of the Academy.  

“We have come and are ready to be committed to the progress of the Academy. We will volunteer and ensure the success of the Academy’s activities,” he stated.
