MUSIGA confers Pro membership on Grammy-winning American gospel artiste, Jonathan McReynolds
Grammy-winning American gospel musician Jonathan McReynolds has been granted skilled membership within the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).
The MUSIGA Pro membership objective is to boost sources and assist for skilled musicians nationwide.
The occasion occurred on Tuesday on the Accra International Conference Centre when President Akufo-Addo granted Ghanaian citizenship to 524 diasporans.
The ceremony was attended by musicians together with the Tagoe Sisters and different MUSIGA members.
Jonathan McReynolds, one of many 524 diasporans who acquired Ghanaian citizenship, was given a quotation as a part of being honoured with a Pro MUSIGA membership.
The quotation was learn by former MUSIGA president Diana Hopeson and offered by 1st Vice President Rev Dr Thomas Yawson.
The quotation underlined the importance of McReynolds’ musical achievements and his position as a consultant of Ghanaian tradition abroad.
“Jonathan McReynolds embodies the spirit of our music community, and his recognition as a Ghanaian citizen is a testament to our commitment to fostering international ties through music,” Diana Hopeson acknowledged.
Rev Dr Yawson added, “As we present this citation, we celebrate not only Jonathan’s achievements but also our collective goal to elevate Ghanaian music on the global stage. The MUSIGA Pro membership is designed to empower artists like him and provide them with the tools they need to succeed.”
Jonathan McReynolds thanked MUSIGA for the honour and guaranteed the Union of his willingness to assist the Union and the Ghanaian music enterprise in any method that he might.
His host, Princess Dr. Asie Ocansey, recommended the Union for the respect bestowed to Jonathan and the chance for future collaboration.
Jonathan McReynolds was accompanied to Ghana, by his mom and his elder sister.
