D1 Lonato (J1): ASCK Begins Title Defense with Victory Over Dyto
The defending champion, ASCK, has made a perfect start to the new D1 Lonato season, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Dyto this Sunday in the opening match for both clubs.
A Dominant First Half
The match began at a high intensity. Dyto relied on the pace of its forwards, while ASCK expertly exploited defensive lapses from the Red Robots. The breakthrough came in the 10th minute when Arnaud Komlanvi was fouled inside the penalty area. Referee Noameshie Ruddick immediately pointed to the spot, and Komlanvi coolly converted the penalty to open the scoring.
Remaining in control, ASCK doubled their lead in the 37th minute. Komlanvi was again the scorer, finishing a well-placed assist from Marouf Ouro-Tagba. Just before the break, Dyto found a lifeline as Sadath Mohamed curled in a superb free-kick, narrowing the deficit and giving his team hope.
ASCK Holds Firm
After halftime, Dyto pushed to get back into the game but struggled with their final pass. ASCK, having done the damage in the first half, managed the game intelligently, lowering their intensity but maintaining their defensive shape to protect the lead until the final whistle.
