Liberia: Amid Legislative Saga, Fire Scare at Capitol Building as Thick Smoke Engulfs House Wing
Monrovia – Firefighters from the Liberia National Fire Service and officers of the Liberia National Building Police are at the moment assessing the Capitol Building after thick smoke engulfed its House Wing.

While the supply of the smoke has but to be recognized, firefighters have suggested everybody to remain away from the premises as investigations proceed.
Staffers have been pressured to evacuate after the smoke was detected this night within the part of the constructing housing the places of work of Deputy Speaker Fonati Koffa and Representative Richard Koon, the self-declared Speaker of the Majority Bloc.
Emergency responders stay on the scene as they work to find out the reason for the incident and make sure the constructing’s security.
