Three commercial premises in Kombissiri have been sealed following an inspection of consumer goods at the town’s market.

The operation, carried out on Monday, August 31, 2026, was conducted by the Regional Directorate of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts of Nazinon (DRICA-Nazinon), according to information from the ministry in charge of Trade.

The checks targeted compliance with commercial regulations at several points of sale in the market, which serves as the capital of the Bazèga province.

Inspectors reported a range of irregularities, including missing price displays, commercial activity without authorization, and the possession and sale of expired or unfit-for-consumption products. Prohibited goods, whose marketing is banned on national territory, were also discovered.

In response, the authorities placed three businesses under seal. The spoiled and prohibited products found during the operation were seized and removed from the commercial circuit.

Sanctions were applied to the offenders in line with current provisions.

The regional directorate stated that this intervention is not an isolated action, indicating that similar operations are set to be intensified across the entire Bazèga province in the coming weeks.

DRICA-Nazinon said it intends to maintain pressure on irregular commercial practices, reaffirming that consumer protection remains a priority in its control missions.
