Divorce is a transition, not a curse – Empress Gifty asserts [Video]

Gospel sensation Empress Gifty Adorye has challenged the stigma surrounding divorce, asserting that it’s not a curse however a pure part of life.

Empress Gifty and her former husband Prophet Elisha Osei divorced after marrying for over a decade. The celebrated actress is now married to a former ardent member of the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP] authorities Hopeson Adorye.

Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV’s leisure and life-style present, Upside Down – co-hosted by Frema Adunyame and Nana Tuffour, Empress Gifty shared her perception that divorce isn’t a curse as presumed however a transition of life.

“It was a tough decision. Always going to church and all of a sudden you have to stop, you have to sit home and you have memories…but I had the right people around me…When you divorce and you don’t have the right people around you you would lose focus…So my Mother and my aunty called Mama G were there to support me”.She stated

“In our world now, when you go into a divorce it’s like a curse, but you see, it’s a transition of life..It’s something bound to happen”. She added

The award-winning songstress defined that she has two daughters together with her ex-husband. She pressured that, “They had been 5 and three years outdated once we divorced however they’re 16 and 14 years now.

Reflecting on what she has realized from being a divorcee, the controversial gospel songstress stated:” I’ve learnt the way to forgive…I’ve learnt how to not insult your husband – even if you end up proper … I’ve learnt the way to preserve quiet.. and I’ve learnt the way to pamper a person – as a result of that’s all they need”.

 Empress Gifty who is thought for monster hit songs like ‘Aseda,’ ‘Adom’ ‘Ayeyi,’ and ‘Kamafo,’ is presently making waves together with her newest tune, “Watch Me.” The tune that has gained important recognition was written by Highlife star Kuami Eugene.
