Manchester City have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras, the club confirmed on Monday, August 31, 2026.
The 22-year-old has agreed a five-season contract that runs until 2031.
The transfer fee was not disclosed by the club, though several sports media outlets have estimated the deal at around €40 million.
Elias, whose full name is Pablo Allan Andrade Elias, arrives after making 96 first-team appearances for Palmeiras, scoring nine goals and providing 14 assists, according to statistics published by Manchester City.
He is primarily a right winger but is also capable of playing in midfield, as a supporting striker, or at full-back.
He drew particular attention during Palmeiras’ comeback against Ecuadorian side LDU Quito in the Copa Libertadores, where he provided an assist and won a decisive penalty.
Speaking after completing the move, Elias said: “Manchester City, with everything the club has won over the past fifteen years, is one of the most attractive clubs in the world.”
He promised to “give everything to make the most of this opportunity.” Manchester City’s director of football, Hugo Viana, described Elias as “a truly interesting player” who he believes is destined to become “an important addition to the squad.”
The signing is part of a significant overhaul of Manchester City’s squad this summer.
The club has seen winger Savinho depart for Tottenham for a fee in the region of £75 million, with Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush also moving to Spurs.
City have also finalized the signing of young Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from LOSC Lille.
Immediate pressure at the Etihad
Elias remains uncapped for the Brazilian national team. If the reported fee is confirmed, he would rank among Manchester City’s most expensive signings of the summer.
With his contract running until 2031, he has time to adapt to English football, though competition for attacking places at the club remains strong.
