The Dabari Ywani association concluded its fifth annual “72 hours” event in Léo, August 28-30, chaired by High Commissioner Téwindé Isaac Sia and sponsored by Papa Tchèfari.
The association grew out of a childhood friendship that formalized five years ago, according to its board chairman, Moussa Nignan. “At the base, it’s a neighborhood affair, a childhood friendship that turned into an association five years ago.
The goal is to do our part, as best we can, for the development of our cherished locality: Sissili in particular, and Burkina Faso in general,” he said.
This year’s program included a guided tour of the Tikéli Museum in Léo to highlight local cultural heritage, a tree-planting session on the museum grounds, and a social action supporting public health.
Organizers also handed over a batch of hygiene and sanitation equipment to the health district, intended for the Medical Center with Surgical Antenna (CMA) in Léo and surrounding CSPS facilities.
Receiving the equipment, Séni Ouétian, representative of the District Medical Officer, expressed gratitude. “This equipment will help us at our health center.
It will improve hygiene in our consultation rooms so that the patients we receive are more comfortable,” he said, while urging users to make responsible use of the trash bins provided.
High Commissioner Sia praised the maturity of the youth and reaffirmed state support. “As you know, the State alone cannot do everything.
Associative structures must accompany it and carry out activities within the framework of development, social cohesion and living together,” he said.
He also congratulated the head of the Tikéli Museum for his foresight in positioning the province as a major tourist hub.
The event closed on August 30 with a U15 football match between Relève FC and Avenir FC, two teams from coach Aboudé’s training center. Relève FC won 1-0, taking the trophy and a cash prize of ten thousand francs.
