Yanfolila circle authorities visited Burkinabè nationals expelled from Guinea and received in the locality Thursday to assess reception conditions and identify difficulties they face.
The delegation was led by the second deputy prefect of Yanfolila, Abdallah Aziz Hamou, and included the mayor of the Rural Commune of Wassoulou-Ballé, Rokia Diakité Sidibé, and the head of the Local Service for Social Development and the Solidarity Economy, Bandjougou Diawara.
Members of the defense and security forces also took part, according to a report from AMAP.

The Burkinabè nationals were expelled by Guinean authorities over their presumed involvement in clandestine and illegal mining activities in Guinea.
They were received in Mali within the framework of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES) and benefit from a care arrangement that includes accommodation, food, health care and security during their stay in Yanfolila.
During the visit, Mayor Rokia Diakité Sidibé reaffirmed the municipal authorities’ commitment to take all necessary measures to support the nationals and facilitate their return to their country of origin.
